Our specialist team will cover:

  • Simon Brown, MHA Tait Walker Charity Partner – Charity Sector update
  • Louise Cottam, Tax Manager – Charity Tax and VAT – what’s new
  • Graham Dotchin, Head of Technology & Data Insight – Making Tax Digital
  • Lauren Tennant, Forensic Services Executive – Insider charity fraud

Making Tax Digital for Business is the government’s vision to have one of the most advanced tax systems, to improve efficiency and to reduce error. By forcing businesses to store and share information digitally, HMRC will have quicker access to data and clear audit trails from source documents to filed returns. Graham will discuss how this will affect those in the Not for Profit sector and how you can manage this for your charity.

Lauren Tennant will discuss the methods of insider fraud and risks faced by charities, with case study examples and practical steps to remove opportunities for fraudsters.

The event is being held in the Charles Brandling Room at Newcastle Racecourse. There is plenty of free on-site parking and we will be providing hot drinks and breakfast rolls on arrival.

We hope you can make it and we really look forward to seeing you there.
