Changes to the SEISS grant
In our recent blog post, Grant extension to the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme, we outlined the further support the UK government are providing to those self-employed individuals.
In further changes from the government, they have confirmed that the third grant, which covers the period 1 November 2020 to 31 January 2021, will in fact be calculated at 80% of 3 months average monthly trading profit, subject to a maximum amount of £7,500. This is an increase from the 40% grant capped at £3,750 which was announced 2 weeks ago.
Information in relation to fourth grant, for the period 1 February 2021 to 30 April 2021 have yet to be announced.
The online service to claim the next grant will be available from 30 November 2020, details of which will be confirmed in due course.
