Culture Recovery Fund – how to apply
Next week, organisations can apply for £880 million in grants as part of the Culture Recovery Fund.
The £1.57 billion fund will support cultural, arts and heritage organisations and is the Government’s biggest ever one-off investment in the arts. It offers financial support for organisations that are now at risk of failure due to COVID-19.
Organisations within the cultural/heritage sector should visit the websites for British Film Institute, Arts Council England, Historic England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as they have published guidance on how they will judge and distribute applications.
Deadline for applications
Organisations who may be able to apply for grants under the Culture Recovery Fund should be aware that each awarding body has different application processes and guidelines, but the application deadline dates typically “close” in August 2020.
The time period to apply is notably short. The applications to both the Arts Council and Heritage England close in mid August, therefore organisations should prioritise acting upon this if grant funding is needed.
