Chris is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years of experience in Corporate Finance, having trained with PwC in Newcastle, before transferring to London to work in the Transaction Services team.
In 2012 he joined the North East Chamber of Commerce as its first Chief Operating Officer and oversaw a turnaround in financial performance with the business returning to surplus during the first year of his tenure. In his role at NECC, Chris engaged with a wide range of businesses listening to the challenges they face and this, along with his experience of running the NECC business, has given him a different perspective on advising clients.
As Associate Partner of the MHA Tait Walker Corporate Finance team, Chris undertakes all aspects of lead advisory work including MBO/MBIs, disposals, acquisitions, debt and equity finance raising, refinancing and providing strategic advice to directors and shareholders at all stages of business planning. His deals include the MBO of Impetus Waste Management, the sale of Quick Hydraulics to an MBI team, the MBO of Quantum Controls and the sale of HF Healthcare to Alliance Boots.
